Charlotte vs. independent wrestler

The independent wrestler was popular female wrestler Mia Yim.

After toying with Yim early on, Charlotte quickly hit Natural Selection for the win.

Charlotte defeats Yim via pinfall.

Quick win for Charlotte, but that wasn’t all…

Sasha Banks and Bayley promo

Banks came out during Charlotte’s celebration, sporting Charlotte’s t-shirt, except that she taped the words “like a boss,” over “with Flair.”

She said that Charlotte’s victory was impressive, but that it will be a different result next week, and that she could beat Charlotte whenever she wants, while the defiant Charlotte started a “ratchet” chant.

Bayley came out on crutches, after she was injured in an attack by Banks last week. Bayley only got a couple of words out before Banks attacked and laid her out again. Charlotte raced up the ramp, but Banks escaped to the back.

While Charlotte was tending to Bayley, Banks tried to sneak up on her, but was unsuccessful. Charlotte caught her and carried her to the ring, while calling for an official to come down and start their title match right now. While Banks cowered from Charlotte, her partner Becky Lynch came down to the ring and ate a forearm from Charlotte, but that was enough to help Banks hit a backstabber, grab the title, and stand tall over Charlotte.

Everything about this segment was perfect. Banks’ promos, while good, usually are lacking just a bit of emotion, but this one did not suffer from that problem. The segment was well-paced and really built strongly to TakeOver, where we are sure to see some interference from Lynch, and probably some help from Bayley.

The Vaudevillains silent film

Like last week, The Lucha Dragons (The Mini-Lucha Dragons) were wreaking havoc, and it was up to The Vaudevillains to save the day. First, they had to train, which included Simon Gotch taming a lion.

When they got to The Mini-Lucha Dragons, they were dropping water balloons off a building, when The Vaudevillains snuck up behind them and managed to tie them up as if they were to participate in a three-legged race, tied them to an anvil, then tricked them into dropping the anvil, and themselves, off the edge of the building.

These are amazing. The one last week was very funny, but this one topped it, which I didn’t think could be done.
