Cesaro and Tyson Kidd vs. A New Day (Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston)
Woods and Kofi utilized some early, frequent tags to get control on Cesaro, but Cesaro drove Woods into the corner, and him and Kidd took over.
Kofi got the hot tag, and had some great offense on Kidd. The finish came when A New Day pulled out another tag team finisher, when Kofi hit Kidd with a backbreaker, then held him for a double foot stomp off the top rope from Woods.
A New Day defeat Kidd and Cesaro via pinfall.
2.75 out of 5 stars – Pretty good tag team match. I’m really liking A New Day so far.
Gold and Stardust backstage
Stardust said they are looking all over for the “light” that A New Day has spoken of, but that they can only see darkness.
Goldust said that A New Day’s message means nothing to them, saying they have a message of their own: “Darkness falls on The New Day,” as the lights dimmed on Gold and Stardust.
Best backstage promo by them in a really long time.
A New Day promo
I’m not liking A New Day as much as I was two minutes ago. Woods was annoying, and “preacher” Big E has officially returned, as they responded to Gold and Stardust to say that the darkness will not beat them, and that the “light” will prevail.
Kofi should not be the best part of a three-person promo, but here we are.
Naomi and Jimmy Uso backstage
Naomi was enjoying a nice bouquet of flowers, when Jimmy walked up and she thanked him for the flowers, but Jimmy revealed that he didn’t get them.
Jimmy read the card and revealed that they came from Miz, so he decided to grab the flowers, throw them to the ground and make the vase shatter.
I totally believe that Miz would do this, and it’s brilliant. They’re doing a pretty good job with this storyline.
