WWE NXT Review: Samoa Joe Debuts

Samoa Joe vs. Scott Dawson

Result: Samoa Joe defeats Scott Dawson via pinfall.

This is Joe’s in-ring debut for NXT. Kevin Owens also went on commentary for this.

This is too cool.

Joe and Dawson began this slowly, with the independent star taking control to begin things.

After Dawson tried getting in a bit of offense, Joe came back with a big take down and a few punches. He also hit a big kick, leaving The Mechanic woozy.

Joe would hit a Muscle Buster for the win.

After the match, Owens would start walking out until Joe shouted at him to come back. Joe said everything they look to fight, Owens runs away. Joe says for him to get in the ring and give the fight the world wants to see.

Owens said “he doesn’t run anywhere.” He refused to get into the ring, called Joe a rookie and said Joe has to earn an NXT Championship match.

Out would come William Regal, who agrees about the title shot but makes a match between the two next week on NXT.

Rob’s Note: Great to see Joe in action on NXT. The match between him and Owens next week should be a lot of fun.
