Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins w/Joey Mercury and Kane

Result: Rollins def. Ambrose by pinfall (Pedigree)

Rating: 3.0 out of 5 stars

The match starts with a recap of the Authority’s beating on Brock Lesnar. Ambrose knocks Rollins to the outside and we go to break rather quickly. Back from break and Rollins is shown targeting the leg of Ambrose. You Sold Out chants fill the arena as Rollins remains in control. Ambrose gets control and hits a running bulldog on the champ for a two count. Dean gets caught due to his injured leg, allowing Seth to hit a superkick for a two count.

Ambrose hits a neckbreaker to get control, and heads to the top rope. Kane tried to interfere but gets sent aside. Ambrose dives onto Kane through the ropes and heads to the top rope for a flying elbow. Rollins is getting pinned for roughly a 7 count, but Mercury distracts him to save the match. Ambrose hits a tornado DDT for a 2.9586 count. Rollins goes for the turnbuckle powerbomb, but Ambrose head scissors Rollins over onto the outside. Ambrose dives onto the Authority on the outside, taking them all out. A distraction from Mercury allows Rollins to hit the Pedigree for the win. The Authority stand tall to end the show.

A decent main event and a fun tag match saves an otherwise bland SmackDown. It felt very much like a placeholder show, when SmackDown really should be a place to further develop under card storylines. What did you think of this weeks episode? Let us know in the comments!
