Tyler Breeze vs. Tommaso Ciampa
Result: Tyler Breeze defeated Tommaso Ciampa via pinfall (Killswitch).
Rating: 3.4 stars out of 5 stars
Breeze and Ciampa trade pinning combinations so quickly that no one can get even a one count. Breeze ends up on Ciampa’s back, so Ciampa scampers around the ring like a dog. Ciampa gets control and hits chops. Ciampa exposes his knee from his kneepad and hits Breeze with a running knee in the corner for a two count. Breeze catches Ciampa with a neckbreaker and then controls Ciampa with a leg drop for a two count.
Ciampa tosses Breeze and delivers some stiff rights in the corner. He hits Breeze with two straight kicks, and then sets Breeze up with his feet on the top rope. He flattens Breeze face first, but only gets the two count. Ciampa takes off his elbow pad and clocks Breeze with a spinning elbow, but still only gets a two count. Ciampa goes to the top rope, but as he flies Breeze hits him with a dropkick for a two count. Breeze lays into Ciampa with stomps before hitting him with a Killswitch for the pinfall victory.
Evan’s Note: When Breeze finally becomes NXT champion, it’s going to be a great ending to a long journey. I think his match with Crews may steal the show at TakeOver. Breeze is a talented worker and his match with Ciampa was a highlight on a strong show.
Rhyno & Corbin Interview
Rhyno says there is no one that can stop them at TakeOver. Corbin says the tournament may as well be over already, since the two of them will be the champions.
Final Countdown: Bayley vs. Sasha Banks Preview
A preview of the 30 Minute Iron Man match between champion Bayley and Sasha Banks is shown. It starts with their epic match at NXT Brooklyn. It shows Regal announcing the main event Iron man match. It also shows the two women working out in preparation for their match. This main event is going to be phenomenal. I hope these two tear the house down.
