WWE SmackDown Review: Results, Analysis & Grades for Oct. 1
By Evan Gomes
Final Thoughts
The drama between Kane and Seth Rollins has been wildly entertaining so far. Having Kane play up the split personality angle has shown Rollins as a nervous champion and Kane as a legitimate contender who is capable of playing mind games extremely well.
New Day being involved in the main event so consistently is a testament to the three of them being able to take what was initially a doomed gimmick and turn it into gold. They tangled with John Cena on Monday and with the Rollins/Kane angle tonight. New Day should stay together for this and all of next year because they still have lots of legs as a group.
The show was a little light in missing some stars, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Having Cena, Ambrose, Cesaro, Rusev and Ziggler off the card is somewhat disappointing. However, it let the other guys in the company contribute tonight and give those workhorses some much-needed rest and relaxation.
That’s the last show before the Madison Square Garden live event on Saturday. Did the show do anything to make you want to watch? What match on Saturday’s card are you most looking forward to? Let us know in the comments below.
