Pro: This is Likely Leading up to a Great WrestleMania Match

No, I don’t mean a WrestleMania match involving Kane.

A majority of Rollins’ feuds since he won the title have felt like placeholders. The matches are acting as a way to kill time until WrestleMania, where Seth Rollins will finally have a legitimate chance of losing his title. That’s why we were given Kane vs Rollins. Mainly to kill time.

But hey, maybe that’s a blessing in disguise.

There’s a pretty good chance that if WWE is saving their best for WrestleMania, then we’re going to be treated to a show once April rolls around. Maybe we’ll actually get a Shield triple threat, with the fan favorite Dean Ambrose or the finally fan-accepted Roman Reigns capturing the gold. Maybe we’ll get a Rollins vs Daniel Bryan match, which would undoubtedly result in one of the best technical wrestling bouts of all time. Maybe Rollins turns face in the coming months, and we get him vs Kevin Owens.

There are endless possibilities, and if Rollins still has the title by then, fans will be itching to see a new champion. As long as it’s a fairly likable guy who wins it and the match is at least average, the show will almost certainly be considered a success due to the shock of Rollins finally dropping his precious championship. The quality of WrestleMania is one thing WWE is usually pretty concerned about, and it’d be an easy win for them if they continue on this path.
