3. Kane
Last Week: 6
HOW ABOUT THAT OLD SCHOOL KANE HEAD-TILT?? You know what I’m talking about: the one from Raw last night when the Big Show got all up in Kane’s face.
My favorite part about The Big Red Machine right now is that he’s coming across as the same monster he was when he debuted nearly two decades ago (yeesh). It was wonderful seeing all the lumberjacks in Raw’s main event cower away in fear whenever Kane was out of the ring. That kind of widespread terror is exactly what I want out of my Demon Kane.
The phone call bit with Stephanie and HHH was fun, too.
2. John Cena
Last Week: 3
Nothing screams “Super Cena” like kicking out of a Fameasser, a superkick and the Zig Zag and then delivering an AA for the win. Sure, it was technically Cena’s second AA on Ziggler, but COME ON.
I’ve come around to John Cena a lot this year, I really have, and I’m jumping on the bandwagon and believing that last nights match between Cena and Ziggler is not just a one-time thing, but a progression toward an eventual Ziggler heel turn. After everything we saw in that match last night—the near-falls, the eye-rake, a random headbutt—it’d be ridiculous if that storytelling in the ring was all for naught.
Then again, maybe Cena won again and life goes on. BUT COME ON.
