Danny Burch vs James Storm
Result: Storm defeated Burch via pinfall (8-Second Ride).
Rating: 2.75 out of 5 stars
The NXT crowd reacts very warmly to James Storm. Burch gets a few shots in to start the match. Storm gets the upper hand and hits a leaping neckbreaker on Burch to chants of “Cowboy.” Storm hits the 8 Second Ride to pick up his first victory in NXT.
Evan’s Note: Before the match Rich Brennan talked about Storm’s career and said he “was in WCW and then the independents.” Calling TNA the independent circuits is hilarious and accurate. With the state of the company, it’s hard to argue. Who WWE brings in next is anyone’s guess, but it’s a guessing game that is lots of fun to play.
