WWE Rumors: Speculation on How Randy Orton Injured Shoulder

Randy Orton was removed from WWE Hell in a Cell due to injury, but how did he get hurt?

On Monday Night Raw, WWE announced that Randy Orton suffered an injury “at the hands of the Wyatt Family.” This caused him to miss the WWE Mexico tour last weekend, Raw and WWE Hell in a Cell this Sunday.

Orton was scheduled to team with Dean Ambrose to face Braun Strowman and Luke Harper during the Hell in a Cell kickoff. Obviously, that won’t be happening now. Cesaro, Dolph Ziggler and Neville vs. Rusev, Sheamus and King Barrett has since been announced to replace it.

Then came the news that Orton was actually hurt. He supposedly suffered a dislocated shoulder that would need an MRI to determine if he needs surgery. The question was how did he suffer the injury since his Hell in a Cell match was announced only 4 days before on SmackDown?

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer (h/t Ringside News), Orton reportedly suffered the shoulder injury while taking out the garbage to the curb last week. His shoulder supposedly took 3 hours to put back into place.

If true, this is one bizarre way to aggravate the injury (Orton has reportedly dealt with this for a while). It’s sure to get fans talking.

Hopefully the MRI checks out alright Orton so he doesn’t need surgery and can get back in action soon.
