WWE Tag Team Championship Match
The New Day (c) vs The Dudley Boyz

Here we are again. The New Day set to defend their Tag Team Championships against The Dudley Boyz for the third time. The team from DudleyVille have seen the previous two matches end in disqualification wins, they have so far failed to win that elusive tenth WWE Tag Team Championship.

At Night of Champions the Dudleyz basically had the titles won, only for Xavier Woods to break up the pin as they were set to get the three. Following that, at the Madison Square Garden show a couple of weeks ago, we saw basically the same thing. As D-Von had Kofi pinned for the three count Woods again broke up the pin to give the Dudleys the DQ win. There was a modicum of revenge though as they managed to drive Woods through the table to send the MSG crowd home happy at least.

With the announcement of a third match for the belts it can’t be a repeat of the same old ending. This week on WWE tv we’ve seen Xavier Woods taken out after a six man tag match on Raw, he got the AA from John Cena and was then taken out after a 3D though a table. On SmackDown Big E and Kofi faced the team of Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns and were chased back to the ring by the Dudley Boyz. The fact that Xavier Woods was not present, selling the effects of the beating on Raw could be significant if he doesn’t make it to Hell in a Cell.
