Survivor Series (1987) – Andre the Giant, One Man Gang, King Kong Bundy, Butch Reed and Rick Rude vs. Hulk Hogan, Paul Orndorff, Don Muraco, Ken Patera and Bam Bam Bigelow in a 5-on-5 Survivor Series match.

Initially, Billy Graham was supposed to be on Hogan’s team, but due to a hip injury, he had to retire from pro wrestling, replacing him was Don Muraco. Hogan’s leg drop eliminated Butch Reed first, after that the heel and face teams traded eliminations, until it got down to Bundy, Andre, and One Man Gang vs. Bam Bam and Hogan.

In a twist, Hogan was pulled outside of the ring, where he pulled off body slams to both One Man Gang and Bundy, respectively, but ended up being counted out! This left only Bam Bam against 3 big men, he fought valiantly to pin Bundy via a diving headbutt and One Man Gang via a diving nothing (OMG literally jumped off the turnbuckle and just crumple to the mat). Ultimately, Andre was too much, getting the win, and becoming the sole survivor. Hogan ran out post-match to attack Andre, he really was a sore loser.

Great lineup on both teams, crowd was hot for nearly the entire match, in particular for Hogan. A random great moment comes when Bam Bam Bigelow does a back flip from a Bundy clothesline, amazing what he could do at his size, solid match as the first ever, Survivor Series main event.
