3) Shawn Michaels, Triple H, CM Punk & The Hardy Boys (2006)

Just going by names alone, this team should be on the list, and depending on what happens in the future, this one could move up a spot or two. During 2006, Michaels and Triple H re-formed DX, so they were enjoying solid pops from the crowd, even though some of the stories were beyond stupid during this era. The Hardy Boys had returned to the WWE, and enjoyed some success in both singles and tag team competition. CM Punk was still relatively new to the main roster at this point, and was slowly gaining a fan base. Backstage powers were split on Punk as some felt he should have received a massive push early, while others tried to hold him back.

Looking at the match, Team DX went up against Randy Orton, Edge, Mike Knox, Johnny Nitro, and Gregory Helms, which in the end was a total blowout. Team DX was able to stay completely intact, eliminating everyone from the other side; this was only the third time in Survivor Series history to occur.

Presently, Michaels, now retired, is one of the greatest wrestlers ever, and went into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011. Triple H, who has now gone corporate; also have an amazing resume that will land him in the Hall of Fame, down the road. Jeff and Matt Hardy will go down as one of the most popular tag teams ever, with six WWE tag title runs, and a potential spot in the Hall of Fame. Finally, Punk ended up having a great run with the WWE, with any luck, he’ll make a triumphant return to get that WrestleMania main event he always coveted.
