WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Semi-final Match:
Roman Reigns vs. Alberto Del Rio (US Champion)

This match features the tale of two different paths in the WWE this year. Roman Reigns of course was pushed heavily after returning from injury the end of 2014, winning the Royal Rumble and taking on Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania.  Alberto Del Rio however left the company in 2014 on not the best of terms as he was fired for an altercation with another employee. However, Del Rio made a somewhat surprising return at Hell in a Cell last month beating John Cena for the WWE United States Championship. Now they will face each other to move one step closer to the World Heavyweight Championship.

In the tournament so far Reigns has turned down Triple H for the easy way to the championship and was put in matches against The Big Show and Cesaro, defeating both. Del Rio’s path saw him defeat Stardust & Kalisto.  Del Rio upon his return is on a monster streak, especially defeating Cena for the US title. However, the past few months even before Rollins injury, has seen an obvious push of Roman Reigns to move towards the Championship. While this match should be very back and forth there can only be one man who moves on the finals.
