WWE Divas Championship Match: Charlotte(c) vs. Paige Result: Double Count-out Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars The match began with Charlotte and Paige slapping each other. Charlotte would wrestle Paige down to the mat and lock in a headlock. She then shifted that into an arm bar. Paige rolled out of the ring and, at first, refused when the ref ordered her back in the ring. Once Paige did get back in the ring, Charlotte would go on the offensive. She kept Paige down and then did a little showboating with the Ric Flair strut.

Charlotte locked in a head scissors hold and rolled Paige around on the mat. The ladies would get back to their feet, and Paige managed to reverse Charlotte’s corner attack to gain control of the match.

Now it was Paige’s turn to lock in the submission hold. Charlotte would get a rope break to create a little separation, but it was short lived. Paige proceeded to drive some knees into Charlotte’s face while standing on the apron.

Paige then locked in a head scissors of her own. Paige would shift the attack to the ropes and wrap Charlotte’s leg around them. She kicked Charlotte in the face to keep control. This was followed by a string of submission maneuvers.

Charlotte got a little fight in her and knocked Paige down, leaving both Divas on the mat as we went to commercial.

The match resumed with the two still on the mat. During the commercial, Charlotte had mounted a bit of comeback, but Paige got a dropkick in. That didn’t hinder Charlotte, though; she started chopping Paige.

Charlotte pulled Paige back down to the mat with another headlock. Paige would roll to the ropes and force the break. Paige tried to get up, but Charlotte speared her out of the ring.

Both ladies crawled to their feet. Charlotte was almost in the ring, but Paige pulled Charlotte down and threw her into the barricade. This resulted in a double count-out. That didn’t stop the mayhem, though.

Paige threw Charlotte into the steel steps, and then she put Charlotte on the table and locked in the PTO. Paige eventually got pulled away by the refs, leaving Charlotte in pain on the table.

Eugene’s note: Decent match if you’re into mat wrestling. Still hard to get behind Charlotte.
