Usos Backstage

The Usos pass by Woods dressed as the Gobbledy Gooker. The Usos say they have an idea for later, so I expect to see them taking out New Day later on tonight.

New Day (Kofi Kingston & Big E) w/ Xavier “Gobbledy Gooker” Woods vs. Lucha Dragons

Result: Lucha Dragsons def. New Day via pinfall (Salida del Sol).

Big E still has his chef apron and hat and oven mitts on, but he takes them off for the match. Kofi starts the match against Kalisto, and the Lucha Dragons get in control early. New Day starts celebrating early , and Sin Cara hits a suicide dive to Big E on the outside as we go to break.

Back from the commercial and New Day are using their rotating stomps to ground Sin Cara. Big E hits his big splash on Sin Cara for a two count. Sin Cara gets the hot tag to Kalisto, who goes to work on the newly tagged in Kingston. Kofi gets the roll up and tries to put his feet on the ropes. The Gooker knocks his feet off the ropes, allowing Kalisto to hit the Salida Del Sol for the victory.

After the match, Big E and Kingston ask Woods why he interfered. One of the Usos come out with Woods bound, in his boxers, and an air horn. The Gooker is revealed to be Jey Uso. The Lucha Dragons and Usos come clear the ring of Kingston and Big E. Woods gets picked up by the Dragons and is left in the ring with the Usos. Woods gets super kicked, and Jey Uso hits a Superfly Splash in a the Gooker costume as the faces stand tall.

Evan’s Note: Great, fun booking that gives the Usos the ability to showcase their personality. They should be booked as a fun-loving team of competitors more often, where as in their last run they were booked more as TagTeam Cenas.

It’s exciting that these seven athletes will be in a tag team ladder or TLC match in a few weeks. They will have a match that could very well steal the show.
