Commence the rolling of the eyes.
Yes, John Cena, the man who has won 15 world titles in WWE is among the favorites to win the Royal Rumble match and headline another WrestleMania.

With Mr. HLR having main-evented countless WrestleMania events, one would think that role would end. However, the situation is the same with Lesnar—who else is there to choose from? It’s due to a lack of established stars and injuries.
If Cena wins, he would probably be featured in a passing-of-the-torch match against Roman Reigns. Despite not holding the title, the leader of the Cenation would probably put over WWE’s future face to give him that signature win to put him over for life. With Cena’s movie career continuing to grow, this would be ideal to happen if this situation gets presented.
Despite the criticism, Cena delivers whenever he is out there on a big stage. He has worked phenomenal matches with “non-main event-worthy” talent like Kevin Owens and Cesaro (they are also incredible in the ring). This would be no different if Cena headlined WWE’s biggest show of 2016.
With Cena and Lesnar as possibilities, who does that leave?
