2) Roman Reigns’ Time for Babyface Push Will Run Out

Roman Reigns had been getting screwed out of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship left and right. It has happened all year long, especially within the past month. We got to the point where if Reigns would lose another opportunity for the belt, would the fans ever get behind him even if he wins one day?

Along with this, the fan reaction was positive in some places, negative in most and indifferent in others. The negatives outweighed them all, though.

Another factor was the booking of Reigns on the microphone. It’s well-known that he’s at his best when there is little to be said in front of the crowd. The more speaking he does with his actions, the better.

The “tater tots” promo from last week on Raw is evidence of this. It was a scripted line that only hurt Reigns, similar to the cartoon character lines he was saying on a weekly basis earlier this year.

It just didn’t feel like something a Samoan tough guy would say. He would be better off using his fists to speak.
