5) Roman Reigns Winning the Title on Raw Can Help Ratings

WWE Raw ratings had been tumbling all year long with multiple episodes dipping below 3 million in viewership over the past month. The shows were not interesting and the booking was more questionable than ever.

Over the years, Raw drifted from “anything can happen” and became predictable. Match outcomes were told in the same way countless times and the build for storylines became dull. This is especially linked to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, which had not changed hands on Raw since 2011 (the World Heavyweight Championship did in 2013).

Roman Reigns’ win on Raw changed this, though, and was a much-needed shot in the arm for the flagship show.

Could Vince McMahon make another appearance on Raw after making the “win-or-fired” ultimatum and taking a Superman Punch?

Reigns and WWE Creative may have just saved Raw for the time being.
