WWE NXT Slammy Awards 2015: Who Would Be Nominated and Win?

Surprise Return/Debut of the Year
WWE’s category only involves returns, but we’ll expand it to surprise debuts as well since we had multiple ones in NXT this year.
Since Samoa Joe’s debut already won an award (and has been nominated three times), we’ll give this one to James Storm debuting a few months ago. He was a TNA Original and it was hard to picture him ever being in a WWE ring. However, with NXT in existence, it happened.
- The Brian Kendrick returns, debuts on NXT
- Samoa Joe debuts at NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable
- Rhyno returns, debuts on NXT
- Enzo Amore and Big Cass return to take down Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder
Rivalry of the Year
This is another tough one for the Slammy Awards, as NXT has built so many great rivalries this year.
With Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn on this list, though, it’s hard to pick against it. Their long-time feud in ROH carried over to the main roster and succeeded in another setting. The chemistry these two have on the microphone and in the ring is amazing and since this program didn’t technically have an ending, we could see it on the main roster in 2016. How fun will that be?
- Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks
- Bayley vs. Sasha Banks
- Finn Balor vs. Kevin Owens
- Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe
