2. There Are a Ton of New Superstars on the Card

It’s really unbelievable how many new superstars have debuted since WrestleMania. The Raw after WrestleMania is famous for featuring the debuts of new NXT call-ups, and with the WWE draft bringing up even more talent, the roster looks vastly different now than it did back in April.

There are currently four matches on the SummerSlam card that involve superstars who weren’t on the main roster at WrestleMania time. Those matches include Enzo and Cass vs Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens, New Day vs Gallows and Anderson, The Miz vs Apollo Crews, and Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins. Obviously there’s a lot of new talent there that would have been awesome to have for Mania, and SummerSlam will the the biggest stage this new cast has ever performed on, so you can bet they’ll be bringing their A-game.

The simple fact that these budding superstars are going to be on the card on August 21st while they weren’t for WrestleMania gives SummerSlam a big boost. Any show is better with these guys on it. Enzo and Cass are arguably the most popular tag team on the roster, Gallows and Anderson are WWE’s best heel tag team, Apollo Crews is an athletic marvel, and Finn Balor is a main-event star in the making. Seeing these guys on the big stage at the Barclays will be a spectacle fit for one of WWE’s biggest pay-per-views.
