How Will Finn Balor Follow Up His Huge Victory?

Last night, Finn Balor completed a meteoric rise in WWE unlike any we’ve ever seen. After winning two matches on his first night to become number one contender, Balor defeated Seth Rollins to become the first ever Universal Champion last night at SummerSlam. His debut was one of the most anticipated events in WWE history. Now, in just a month on the main roster, Balor has vaulted all the way to the top of the WWE totem pole.

With a championship around his waist, Balor is set to kick off his first main roster title reigns tonight on Raw. His success is unprecedented, so it’s tough to predict what’s next for him in the long term. In the short term, Rollins figures to stay in the title picture, but considering Balor pinned him clean in the center of the ring, it’s not necessarily a guarantee. Balor may end up with a new challenger, or at the very least Rollins will have to earn his way back into contention.
