Ring Of World Heavyweight Championship: Cody (c) vs Michael Elgin vs Juice Robinson

I know what you’re immediately thinking.  NJPW doesn’t do many triple threat singles matches.  True, but ROH does.  I know what else you’re thinking.  Cody has beaten both Elgin and Robinson in the past nine months.  Well, that’s been a long nine months and much has changed for both of these potential challengers.  Elgin, the constant contender, parlayed a successful 2016 campaign that saw him capture the IWGP Intercontinental title into a solid 2017 where he picked up 8 points at the G1 which featured victories over Kenny Omega and Minoru Suzuki.

Robinson, the former CJ Parker in NXT, has come on extremely strong lately, he too having snatched up 8 points in the G1.  His notable wins were over Elgin himself, and he also shockingly topped Omega.  With this success, these two need to be involved in Wrestle Kingdom somehow, and with the other titles being contested against what I perceive to be other superstars, this might be their only way for them to make it on to the card.

This could be a great match if done correctly.  With the recent surge by both Elgin and Robinson, Cody would certainly have his hands full.  It would also be a huge endorsement to both challengers to battle against the ROH champ, a guy that just brought IWGP Kazuchika Okada to his limits.  This match works for everyone involved.  Most importantly, the fans.
