WWE SummerSlam 2017 Predictions

Smackdown Women’s Championship: Naomi (c) vs Natalya
In the first of two women’s title matches at SummerSlam, Naomi takes on Natalya for the belt with the ever-looming Carmella hanging in the wings with her Money In The Bank contract. Natalya, one of the more underrated in-ring workers in the women’s division finally gets a big match on a major show after nearly a decade in the company. That’ll come against Naomi, who legitimately seems to get better every single day and has managed to put together a nice, little title reign since winning the belt for the second time at Wrestlemania 33.
As much as there are good things to say about both girls, unfortunately, I don’t think this match will be about them. After Baron Corbin lost his MITB contract, there’s no chance that something will go wrong with Carmella’s. Because if it does, then what was the point of the entire MITB pay per view? I expect Naomi to retain, but for Carmella to cash in with the help of James Ellsworth.
