WWE: Braun Strowman’s Two-Year Anniversary
A Lesson in Patience
There’s no telling if the rumoured Reigns-Lesnar WrestleMania 34 main event will come to fruition. Regardless, WWE fans are sure to be treated to many more Top 10s of Braun Strowman throwing people (and things) around in the future:
We’ve come to learn that fans sometimes affect change with their voices. On the other hand, there are clear counter-arguments that suggest that negativity won’t always lead to a revolution.
We roll out the red carpet for any wrestler arriving from NXT, Ring of Honor or NJPW. Anyone else is considered an outsider, rarely ever able to live up to our lofty expectations.
How did we feel about The Miz just a couple of years ago? He was a reality TV reject who didn’t deserve a spot in the main event at WrestleMania, much less one on the roster. These days, he’s a consensus favourite among the Internet wrestling community.
In the same vein, Strowman is a cautionary tale for fans. We’re often quick to judge and disparage what’s being presented to us without even entertaining the possibility of a pivot in a wrestler’s creative direction.

Sometimes, it’s better to be patient, because it often takes time – two years, in Braun Strowman’s case – for all of the puzzle pieces to come together.
