It looks like we are going to see Team Shane McMahon vs. Team Kevin Owens, but what else can we expect from the WWE Survivor Series 2017 PPV?

Hell in a Cell is officially over, and if we are building towards a Team Shane vs. Team Kevin match at WWE Survivor Series 2017, then we already know one of Kevin’s allies. During their Hell in a Cell match, Sami Zayn turned heel and saved Kevin Owens from Shane McMahon, which ended up winning Owens the match.

Jinder Mahal also defended his WWE Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura at Hell in a Cell, but will he have an opponent at Survivor Series? Also, Baron Corbin ended up winning the US Championship, but will he face Styles in a rematch at the big PPV?

Also, on the Raw side of things, The Shield looks to be making a reunion tour, but will they stop through Survivor Series together? Will Asuka rise up the ranks and challenge for the championship by the time November comes around? Will Brock Lesnar actually defend his championship at Survivor Series?

There are a lot of questions as to how Survivor Series will shape up, but the pieces are already starting to come together. So, here is a look at some predictions for the Survivor Series match card.

Team Jordan vs. Team Miz

For this match, a lot of interweaving rivalries are going to get mixed in together. On Team Jordan, we have Jason Jordan, Matt Hardy, and The Shield, and on Team Miz, we have The Miz, The Bar, Braun Strowman, and Samoa Joe.

Now, it looks like The Shield is already forming to take on The Miz and The Bar, but there are plenty other feuds involved here. Jason Jordan has a rivalry with The Miz, and he has made it clear that he is not finished with him, and Matt Hardy had an intense rivalry with The Bar and would love to get his hands on them again.

On Team Miz, Braun Strowman has a storied past with Roman Reigns and has been involved in matches against Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in consecutive weeks. Samoa Joe may be the odd one out here, but he has helped The Miz out before to hurt Roman Reigns, so Samoa Joe may return with some repeat intentions.

This is a match that is able to get key players from Raw involved in the traditional Survivor Series tag match, and Kurt Angle could even play a role or help raise the stakes of the match.

Raw Women’s Championship: Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Asuka

Asuka is making her debut at TLC, and there is no question that the undefeated Empress will make a statement right away. With Alex Bliss claiming to have already beaten all of the women on RAW, Asuka will make for a new challenger to Alexa’s throne.

Of course, this could be halted if WWE wants to go for the Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss angle before they let Asuka rise up the ranks, but if Asuka is to be received by the fans as a dominant threat, the best thing for her to do is to win the title as quickly as possible.

SmackDown Women’s Championship: Natalya (c) vs. Charlotte

After the screwy finish at Hell in a Cell where Charlotte won by DQ because Natalya beat her with a chair, there is no question that Charlotte will be looking for a rematch. Since Charlotte is the biggest female name in WWE, it’s more than likely that it will be granted at the big PPV.

That way, Charlotte Flair can have a grandiose victory on her road to redemption as as she claims the prize for her dad. It will be such a feel good moment that it will make Carmella’s cash in that much sweeter if WWE decides to pull the trigger.

The Usos (c) vs. The New Day vs. Breezango vs. The Authors of Pain

The Usos may be done with The New Day after that Hell in a Cell match, but The New Day might not be done with them. The two teams have been putting on incredible matches, and it would be a shame if one of those teams wasn’t involved in Survivor Series.

So, while these two teams might not be able to top the performance at Hell in a Cell, four teams could definitely help change up the pace and take some pressure and spotlight off of them. Of course those two teams would be Breezango and The Authors of Pain.

Breezango just recently opened up a new case at Hell in a Cell’s edition of Fashion Files, and it should hopefully lead to a new feud for the duo. That team could be secretly attacking other teams like The Usos and The New Day, and it is up to Breezango to crack the case.

Eventually, it would be discovered that it was the NXT call ups, The Authors of Pain, and all four teams would get involved in a feud over the belts just in time for Survivor Series. It may not be the most likely situation, but it certainly sounds ideal.

US Championship: Baron Corbin (c) vs. Tye Dillinger

We have seen this match a lot, but Baron Corbin still needs to be built as a credible champion, so a squash match against Tye Dillinger may help him get there.

Team Shane McMahon vs. Team Kevin Owens

Similar to the Raw brand tag match, this match would get all of SmackDown Live‘s main players involved in the Survivor Series match, with interweaving rivalries being at the foundation of each team.

Kevin Owens’ team would consist of his new ally, Sami Zayn, along with Dolph Ziggler, Rusev, Jinder Mahal, and himself. Shane McMahon will obviously take part in the match and will be accompanied by Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Roode, AJ Styles, and Randy Orton.

It is obvious now why Owens and Zayn would be aligned against Shane, but Ziggler and Rusev both have their problems with Shane, too. Ziggler made fun of his entrance, along with Bobby Roode’s, and he had a feud with Shinsuke. Also, Rusev made a video way back when threatening Shane for not giving him a title shot. Rusev also is currently feuding with Randy Orton.

Jinder Mahal has had his problems with Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens has had his problems with AJ Styles. Everyone here is mixed into a lot of rivalries except for Sami Zayn.

Sami Zayn is a wildcard here, and since he has just turned heel, there is no telling what will happen when he and the rest of Team KO collide with Team Shane.

Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Finn Bálor

Finn Bálor was once Universal Champion, even if it was just for one day. In fact, he was the first ever Universal Champion. However, you would not know that looking at the wok that he is currently doing.

Ever since Finn’s return from injury, his only significant feud has been a lackluster one with Bray Wyatt. Although, Finn will remind us in every backstage segment that he is still gunning for that Universal Championship that he never lost.

So, this Bray Wyatt feud just may be filler while we wait for a big stage for Finn Bálor to attempt to reclaim his throne. Finn already has two PPV wins against Bray Wyatt, and it looks like he may be getting his third at TLC.

After that win, Finn may be the only option to face Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series since all of Raw‘s big names already have or can’t. Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman have already been conquered by The Beast, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are running the tag division, and plans still stand for Roman Reigns to face Brock at WrestleMania 34.

That leaves us with Finn Bálor vs. Brock Lesnar for Survivor Series. It is definitely an intriguing match up. After seeing only monsters like Goldberg, Samoa Joe, and Braun Strowman take on Lesnar, it will be a nice switch up to see a true David vs. Goliath bout.
