WWE SmackDown 5 Biggest Stars: The Rise of Sami Zayn

3. Charlotte Flair
Forget “The Welcoming Committee” and months of treading water. Charlotte Flair is back where she belongs, and that’s competing for a championship. The WWE dropped the ball on arguably the biggest acquisition in April’s Superstar Shakeup, but they’ve finally got back on track.
Charlotte, along with AJ Styles and Kevin Owens, should be one of the main attractions on SmackDown Live. For months Charlotte was lost in the shuffle without much to do, but she’s heating up now and is surely not far away from capturing the SmackDown Women’s Championship for the first time. Importantly, the four-time holder of the Raw title secured the victory for her team in Tuesday night’s six-woman tag team match, forcing Lana to tap out to the Figure-Eight.
I didn’t believe Charlotte as a babyface would last, and for a while it felt awkward. But she has adapted to the role since arriving on SmackDown, and is now making it work. A run with the SmackDown Women’s Championship can’t be far away, and it’s possible she wins the title as early as next month’s special Starrcade event.
Charlotte’s stock continues to rise after this week’s SmackDown, and she’s doing it with flair.
