4. Carmella

This one should be pretty obvious. Carmella is the first ever Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match winner, and she has been carrying Frankie (her briefcase) since June. I can’t imagine that, with all of the “history” WWE is focused on making in the women’s division they would let her cash in unsuccessfully.

So, since her contract expires in June, I would expect the Princess of Staten Island to become SmackDown Women’s Champion in 2018. Actually, she could even become Raw Women’s Champion by cashing in the night of the inevitable Superstar Shake Up after WrestleMania.

Carmella, despite losing her lackey James Ellsworth, still has potential to be a great champion. She has delivered incredible promos, especially after winning the Money in the Bank match, and she has the look and attitude of a champion people could easily hate.

Her in ring performance is still a work in progress, but she is improving and could be a conniving and weaselly heel without having to be a great technician in the ring. The only problem is that, at the moment, she seems to be forgotten in the women’s division.

All of the focus is on Charlotte, the returning Becky Lynch, and the Riott Squad at the moment, but the beauty of the briefcase is that it only takes a moment to get all eyes back on Carmella.

Carmella made history by (technically) winning the first first Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, and she will make history again by being the first to successfully cash in her briefcase and become champion in 2018.
