#2: Authors of Pain
They may not have been on TV again this week, and their last televised appearance may have resulted in a loss to Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish at TakeOver Philadephia, but it’s hard to simply write off the Authors of Pain. After all, their match against the Undisputed Era was hard fought and was a story that was excellently told.
The shadow of the most dominant tag team currently on the NXT roster looms large, as they could return at any given moment to continue wreaking havoc on the rest of the division. And until the rumors of their call-up to the main roster become a reality, I feel they’ll be hanging around my expertly designed rankings for a while.

#1 SAnitY
One of the reasons I really like SAnitY is because of how unhygienic they look. Bearded, disheveled and raggedly clothed, I like to think they smell like rancid orange juice and are grimy to the touch. In fact, you could say they are unSAnitarY.
I’ve been sitting on that one for a while. The amount of self-satisfaction I feel right now is off the charts.
Regardless of how contaminated they may or may not be, SAnitY defeated all three members of Undefeated Era in a barn-burner of a match that saw Killian Dain pin one-half of the tag team champions. So in my glorious, shining, beacon-like opinion, this show of strength has put them at the top of the tag team division.

Also, a thought: Killian Dain has been figuratively carrying SAnitY over their past few matches. Last Wednesday, he was literally carrying Young and Wolfe, trying to hold them up as their bodies reeled from the beating. I’ll be curious to see if this turns into an angle of some sort.
