Everyone has their opinion on what will happen at WWE WrestleMania 34. The Daily DDT staff is no different.
There’s only a few days left before the big day. WWE WrestleMania 34 is this Sunday, taking place in New Orleans. Last time WrestleMania was in NOLA, The Streak™ was broken, and Daniel Bryan ruled the wrestling world.
This year, things are a little different. We haven’t seen The Undertaker in action since last year’s Mania. Daniel Bryan hasn’t competed in a couple of years – but he’s making his grand comeback on Sunday. And Roman Reigns has main evented every WrestleMania since the last trip to The Big Easy – possibly including this year’s show.
Some things never change, though. Triple H is still in a marquee match, this time teaming up with Stephanie McMahon. They’ll face Kurt Angle and the debuting Ronda Rousey, making the transition from MMA to pro wrestling. There’s another undefeated streak on the line this year, though it covers more than just WrestleMania – Asuka hasn’t been defeated in the nearly three years she’s been in NXT and WWE.
How about the pair of battles royal taking place on the Kickoff Show? Or the nine championship matches scheduled throughout the night? And there’s still a question of whether or not The Undertaker will show up to answer John Cena’s challenge. (He totally will, though.)
With Mania right around the corner, the Daily DDT staff is making predictions for the show. It’s WWE’s biggest show of the year, so we’re going all out. Who will win, who will lose, who will be Braun Strowman’s mystery partner – we get to all of it.
Without further ado, here’s what we see going down on Sunday at WWE WrestleMania 34.

WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal
Jack Clayton: This match is actually a lot more important than anyone may think. That’s because it could give a WrestleMania victory to a woman superstar that absolutely needs it. And who else needs a WrestleMania victory more than Becky Lynch? For the past year, Lynch has been overlooked again and again. She was gone for a while to film a movie, but other than that has more or less taken beatings from others. SmackDown Live is doing nothing for her. But if she were to win the Battle Royal and move to Raw the next night, that would give her a great deal of momentum to go off on. She is incredibly talented, and that needs to be showcased. Of course she just needs the push, and the Women’s Battle Royal would be just that for her.
Bryan Heaton: I understand this one being on the Kickoff Show, but that doesn’t mean I’m not disappointed. The main, non-championship storyline in either Women’s Division is Sasha Banks vs. Bayley, but I don’t think either woman wins the match. I wouldn’t be surprised if history was made by someone unexpected, but iconic. Look for Peyton Royce to shock the world in this one.
Liam Hoofe: A match likely to be dominated by the ongoing story between Sasha and Bayley. The two women’s feud will likely prevent either of them from winning, so Becky Lynch becomes the next best bet.
Christopher Jeter: There’s been no tangible build-up for the Women’s Battle Royal on SmackDown, but WWE built the match around Sasha Banks and Bayley’s issues on the RAW side. I imagine that those ladies will be the final two in the battle royal. I suspect that Bayley will eliminate some heels before Banks tosses her out from behind, adding some fuel to the burgeoning feud. WWE could pick someone else to win, but I think “The Boss” is the right call here. It would give her something hold over Bayley’s head, particularly if WWE turns Banks heel in the near future.
Trace Johnson: This is a nice addition to the WrestleMania card as it gives all the women a chance to get on the card. As far as the winner goes, it could go to just about anybody. I’ll go with Sasha Banks just with hopes of seeing her and Bayley’s recent feud close out the match.
Joe Soriano: To me, there are three main options to win this: Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Becky Lynch. While Sasha and Bayley could have easily had a grudge match at WrestleMania after their incredibly put-together feud, I believe these two will eliminate each other at the end, allowing Becky to swoop in for her first defining victory since becoming the inaugural SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
Jack Clayton: Last year, the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal just served as a match for everyone to be a part of. But that’s not what it’s supposed to be. Instead, it should be able to push the career of a mid-carder who needs it. And the superstar who needs it right now is “Woken” Matt Hardy. He just finished a mediocre feud with Bray Wyatt, and needs somewhere to go now. This is the perfect place for it. His feud with Wyatt was the introduction of his character, and the Battle Royal would be the next step in his story. It can give him the momentum to go for a singles title, or even just show the dominance he had in TNA in WWE. Woken Matt needs his WrestleMania moment, and to see him “delete” everyone else in the Battle Royal would be DELIGHTFUL!
Bryan Heaton: With a whopping 13 offical matches on the card, there aren’t a whole lot of superstars left for the battles royal without dipping into the ranks of NXT, or a big return from injury. Since I think an NXT superstar could win the Women’s Battle Royal, I figure the ATGMBR will go to a surprise return. This guy isn’t returning from injury, but he’s been off TV since falling into the Lake of Reincarnation during The Ultimate Deletion. That’s right, a new and improved Bray Wyatt will win this one, and set the course for the next few weeks of his career.
Liam Hoofe: I wish I had something to say about this match but at this stage, who really cares about the outcome? A returning Big Cass would make for an interesting winner, but don’t expect it to have any long-term effect on his career.
Christopher Jeter: I wish I cared more about this, but I don’t. The winners never get a sustained push, rendering the battle royal pretty pointless. Hopefully, WWE does something with the winner this year since the Andre HBO documentary comes out later this month. I have no idea who’s winning this thing. None of the confirmed entrants look like realistic winners, so maybe a surprise entrant or an NXT call-up gets the nod this year. I guess they could have Mark Henry win it a day after his Hall-of-Fame induction.
Trace Johnson: This match has become nothing more than a reason to get the undercard superstars on the card, but hopefully it gives the winner a deserved push, unlike the past few winners. It would be cool to see Matt Hardy win, so I’ll pick the Woken One to delete the competition.
Joe Soriano: It’s hard to find a reason to care about this battle royal, because it ultimately means nothing. Last year, we got a nice celebrity pop from Gronk, but the match did a whole lot more for Jinder Mahal than Mojo Rawley. I could see the WWE giving Dolph Ziggler a cheap victory here after he dropped the United States Championship, and Ziggler’s first real WrestleMania moment will probably do a grand total of zilch for his career trajectory. Which, you know, is par for the course for this battle royal.

Cedric Alexander vs. Mustafa Ali, Cruiserweight Championship
Jack Clayton: The Cruiserweight division has absolutely flourished during 2018. The tournament for the vacated Cruiserweight Championship has been one of the highlights of WWE recently, and that is mostly thanks to the two finalists. Mustafa Ali and Cedric Alexander have been two of the superstars who have been severely overlooked in the past year. Both are incredible in the ring. But in terms of character and booking, it is time for Mustafa Ali to rise to the top of the Cruiserweight division.
Bryan Heaton: Can’t go wrong with either superstar here, so flipping a coin I have Cedric Alexander winning the title. It doesn’t matter who wins, because this one could be something special.
Liam Hoofe: It’s a shame this match has been relegated to the kick-off, as the Cruiserweight Championship tournament has made for excellent viewing. On the plus side, they met get a little more time on the pre-show. A win for Ali would be a fairytale ending for the tournament, but Alexander is the bigger star of the two to take the brand forward.
Christopher Jeter: As good as their match was on 205 Live was a couple of months ago, they have a chance to top it at WrestleMania. Alexander and Ali should have an entertaining match filled with great wrestling and tremendous athleticism, and I hope the stadium is at least half full by the time their match starts. I expect Alexander to score the win and the title. WWE established him as someone who doesn’t win big matches, so unless they plan on turning Alexander heel, I believe he cashes in and wins his first title in WWE.
Trace Johnson: 205 Live has finally been gaining momentum lately and that momentum should reach its apex at WrestleMania 34. It could go either way, but I’ll pick Alexander to win the vacant Cruiserweight Championship.
Joe Soriano: I hope this match steals the show, because the Cruiserweight Tournament gave us some of the best matches in WWE this year. You can tell just how much the members of the division, from the wrestlers to GM Drake Maverick, care about making this brand special. Ali’s promos have allowed him to stand out, but he’s had the tougher road to the finals. And Cedric was supposed to take the title off of Enzo months ago. So I gotta take Alexander here.

Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Nia Jax, Raw Women’s Championship
Jack Clayton: Some matches on the WrestleMania card could honestly go either way. With the Raw Women’s championship, it is the exact opposite. For the longest time, Nia Jax has been overlooked by the women’s division. But now, it’s time for her to show she’s not like most girls. After her real life best friend Alexa Bliss turned on her, Nia immediately set her eyes on Bliss’ championship. And even though Bliss will most likely have Mickie James in her corner, this is going to be a squash match. However, I can absolutely see Carmella coming out after the match, beating down Jax with her briefcase, and successfully cashing in her Money in the Bank contract.
Bryan Heaton: If Nia Jax doesn’t win this after a body-shaming storyline done in poor taste, it’s the biggest misstep in WWE history.
Liam Hoofe: I have a feeling this will be an extended squash match. Nia will run riot on Alexa, only for Alexa and Mickie to attack her post-match and Carmella cash in. Asuka is still being treated as a Raw superstar, so having her take the Smackdown’s belt to Raw, and Carmella going the other way with the Raw belt makes sense to me.
Christopher Jeter: Nia Jax MUST WIN THIS MATCH. She MUST WIN THE TITLE AT WRESTLEMANIA. This should be a no brainer, but WWE has shown time and time again that they will forego obvious booking to swerve the audience. It wouldn’t surprise me if WWE booked Bliss to retain her title to “put heat” on her. THIS WOULD BE A MISTAKE! I’m going to trust that WWE does the right thing and has Jax decisively win the title.
Trace Johnson: This has been one of the most personal feuds heading into WrestleMania 34 with Jax being the brunt of bullying. It’s been a long time coming, so I think Jax finally breaks through and wins the Raw Women’s Championship.
Joe Soriano: If Nia Jax doesn’t win, I might go off the grid. Just saying.

Sheamus & Cesaro (c) vs. Braun Strowman & ???, Raw Tag Team Championship
Jack Clayton: I know I’m not the only one, but I really don’t want Braun Strowman to have a tag team partner for his match at WrestleMania. That’s because I want him to win the titles on his own. For Strowman to win a title on his own would make for an excellent WrestleMania moment. And seeing Strowman as Tag Team Champions by himself is a fascinating idea. If I had to pick a tag team partner for him, I would love to see Neville return and have that great size difference. The two are talented enough though to be great champions. But aside from that, Strowman ought to make history as Tag Team Champions by himself.
Bryan Heaton: I’m getting myself hyped up for someone like Neville or Samoa Joe to be Braun Strowman’s partner. But really, I think Braun Strowman and Big Show are the safe bet, and they’ll win the titles – unless Braun does go it alone.
Liam Hoofe: I’m not expecting much of a match here and I think Braun deserves better than a comedy run with the tag-team titles. That being said, that same tactic has worked for others in the past (Daniel Bryan) so this could turn out to be a very smart booking move. The Bar have been excellent champions and I don’t think it will be long before they get the belts back.
Christopher Jeter: The intrigue lies with whoever Strowman’s mystery partner is. Is it a repackaged Bray Wyatt? Is it a returning Samoa Joe? Is it the great James Ellsworth? Whoever it is, I expect him and Strowman to walk away with the tag team titles considering that WWE has shown that Strowman can beat Cesaro and Sheamus by himself. If Strowman’s team does lose, his partner will almost certainly eat the pin, possibly leading to a singles feud down the line (depending on the partner). But I’ll take the the safe bet of Strowman and, say, Samoa Joe.
Trace Johnson: Braun Strowman is so good he can help create intrigue in a tag team title feud without having a partner. Regardless of who his partner ends up being, I think Strowman will leave WrestleMania 34 as one-half of the Raw Tag Team Champions.
Joe Soriano: I have no idea who Braun‘s partner is going to be, but I’m pretty sure he’s winning the Raw Tag Team Titles before dropping them to the Authors of Pain.

Randy Orton (c) vs. Bobby Roode vs. Jinder Mahal vs. Rusev, United States Championship
Jack Clayton: I don’t know if you know this, but WrestleMania actually falls on a holiday. That holiday of course is RUSEV DAY! So who else ought to win the United States Championship than the Bulgarian Brute? Rusev has yet to win at WrestleMania in his 4 years of being on the main roster. Not only that, but his Rusev Day gimmick has without a doubt been the most popular act on SmackDown Live, if not all of WWE. Rusev is already a 2-time United States Champion, and his previous two runs with the title were both very good. But if Rusev were to win the title at WrestleMania this year, the crowd would lose their minds.
Bryan Heaton: Beloved American babyface military deserter Randy Orton defends the US Title against two dastardly Canadians and a Bulgarian hero. This is my snoozefest match of the night, and hopefully Rusev can pull some magic out of this one on Rusev Day.
Liam Hoofe: A victory for Rusev is what the fans want here, and while I’m not going to rule that out, Orton retaining is the way I suspect they will go. I have a feeling the company will move some of the titles around after WrestleMania, with Orton taking the US to Raw, and the Intercontinental Title moving to Tuesday nights.
Christopher Jeter: Well, I don’t think Mahal is winning, even though I think he could be a fun champion. Rusev has some momentum behind him, but I don’t think WWE truly wants to push him. I think it’s too soon to put the title back on Roode. So I’ll pick Orton to score the pin on Mahal to retain. Hopefully he can restore some of the luster that the U.S. Title lost when choke artist Dolph Ziggler decided he was too good for the belt (he isn’t).
Trace Johnson: The Viper won the United States Championship at Fastlane, but probably won’t keep it past WrestleMania. It would be amazing to see Rusev get the win, so I’ll keep the dream alive and pick Rusev to win the title and make it RusevMania.
Joe Soriano: As much as I want Rusev to win, Randy Orton‘s probably retaining, and I’d pick him to swap places with Finn at the next Shakeup. I’ve been dying to see Randy on Raw.

The Miz (c) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor, Intercontinental Championship
Jack Clayton: Of all the matches on this year’s card that could steal the show, this one could very well be the best. Both Seth Rollins and Finn Balor are two of the best workers in all of wrestling right now, and Miz is no slacker either. But the question is who should walk out Intercontinental Champion? The best option is Seth Rollins. Not only would it make him the last member of the Shield to become a Grand Slam champion, it would be the best way to go into a feud with Shield brother Dean Ambrose down the road. Balor will be a champion down the road no doubt, and Miz is in no way hurt by this. So having Rollins win is what’s best for business.
Bryan Heaton: The Miz is the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time, full stop. After his role in John Cena’s proposal last year, it’s time for Miz to get a big Mania win again.
Liam Hoofe: The Miz having to wait a while to break the record gives his character something to chase in the coming months, and Rollins is likely to return to the main event scene after Mania. Balor is the best choice to win this match, and as I suspect he will go to Smackdown in the draft.
Christopher Jeter: WWE has focused on Rollins and Balor so much, that I almost expect Miz to slink away with his title at Mania. With all the expected title changes on the show, having Miz retain could give his character something else to brag about. Plus, he has mentioned the longest combined days record or the IC Title, which means that he’ll probably break it in the near future (even though the record doesn’t make him look that good if you do the math). Balor and Rollins’ presence ensures that this match will be good. While Miz is far from a top-level worker, he can have compelling matches with the right talent. I would prefer Balor or Rollins to win so they can feud over the title (and feud with other top workers not in the Universal Title picture), but WWE will probably give Miz a cheap win to keep the gold.
Trace Johnson: It’s great to see the Intercontinental Championship get a marquee match at WrestleMania. There will be several title changes at the show, so I think The Miz will survive and retain his title.
Joe Soriano: I think the Miz is going to take some time off now that he has a child, and I think Seth Rollins will move to the Universal Title picture. The WWE needs to see if Finn Balor can defend the title night in and night out, because they need to see if they can rely on him as a Universal Champion in the future. The pop would also be tremendous, and that includes the pop on the Raw after WrestleMania when he shows up with Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows by his side as the champion.

The Usos (c) vs. The New Day vs. The Bludgeon Brothers, SmackDown Tag Team Championship
Jack Clayton: The New Day and the Usos have certainly had the best feud of the past year without question. Having stellar matches at both SummerSlam and Hell in a Cell, these two teams never disappoint. So it doesn’t seem likely they’ll disappoint at WrestleMania either. What’s interesting is that the New Day have yet to pick up a WrestleMania victory in their time as a team. It’s time for them to break that curse and become 5 time tag team champions. While the Bludgeon Brothers do seem a bit out of place in the match, it allows one of them to be pinned to keep the Uso’s momentum going.
Bryan Heaton: It’s too soon for The Bludgeon Brothers to win the titles – they’ve only just graduated back to “regular” opponents. The big story is the Usos finally getting a match on WrestleMania – I don’t think they’ll lose this one.
Liam Hoofe: Any of these three teams could feasibly win on Sunday night, and while The Usos deserve a win on the big stage, this feud has more mileage if the Bludgeons pick up the victory.
Christopher Jeter: WWE showed their fans how much they care about the tag team division when they used all three teams in a goofy WWE Network commercial on the go-home edition of SmackDown Live. If these teams get enough time, they could steal the show. I don’t think that the company wants to move the titles back on to New Day yet, and I think that the Usos are headed to RAW this summer, so I predict a Bludgeon Brothers win here. They should have a nice, lengthy run as the monster heel champs.
Trace Johnson: This match has the makings of being a potential show-stealer with some of the best tag teams in wrestling involved. This is hard to choose, but I’ll say The Usos finally get a WrestleMania moment and retain their titles.
Joe Soriano: The Usos are the best tag team in the world today, and I think the WWE takes advantage of that by having them retain so they finally get their WrestleMania moment. And then they lose the titles to the Bludgeon Brothers in a regular tag match later.

Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Asuka, SmackDown Women’s Championship
Jack Clayton: One of the best built up feuds has been Charlotte and Asuka for the SmackDown Live women’s championship. After winning the first women’s Royal Rumble, it seemed for a while that Asuka was set to go for the Raw Women’s Championship. But after a surprise appearance at Fastlane, things are set for her to be in charge of the blue brand. These two women are among the best workers in the WWE, so this has the potential to steal the show. But if the mixed match challenge finals were a preview for anything, nobody is ready for Asuka. It doesn’t look like they’ll be breaking her undefeated streak anytime soon. And by the looks of it, Asuka is set to win her first championship on the main roster.
Bryan Heaton: I don’t see Charlotte being the one to break Asuka‘s undefeated streak, but I do see her giving The Empress of Tomorrow her best WWE match to date.
Liam Hoofe: This match could well be the finest women’s match in the event’s history. While the match will no doubt tease it, several times, I don’t see Asuka‘s streak being brought to an end here.
Christopher Jeter: I’m probably looking forward to this match more than any other bout on the card. I would likely want to see it more if WWE didn’t decide to randomly give Natalya of all people a win over Flair a couple of weeks ago (they did give Flair her win back last Tuesday, yay 50/50 booking). I’m curious to see how these ladies mesh in the ring, but both are extremely skilled and should deliver a classic. A Carmella cash-in is a possibility, but I think that would be a mistake. I also think it would be a mistake to have Asuka lose if they plan to have her face Ronda Rousey within the next year. So, I’ll pick “The Empress of Tomorrow” to win the title, but in a way that somewhat protects Charlotte.
Trace Johnson: This could end up being possibly the best one-on-one women’s match in WrestleMania history. Both are outstanding and would be deserved winners, but I think Asuka‘s streak stays intact and she wins the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Joe Soriano: Please don’t end Asuka‘s streak please don’t end Asuka’s streak please don’t end Asuka’s streak.

Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn
Jack Clayton: If Owens and Zayn win, they are reinstated to SmackDown Live. However, I don’t think they’re coming back. There’s no way that WWE is going to let Daniel Bryan lose in his return match. He will most definitely be tapping out one of the two, and we’ll see them make their return to Raw.
Bryan Heaton: Is there a way Daniel Bryan can win, but Shane McMahon loses? Because that’s what I want to see. I think there’s a distinct possibility of either Bryan or Shane turning on the other, leading to a win by Owens and Zayn.
Liam Hoofe: Having Owens and Zayn win, potentially with a Shane turn on Bryan, gives Bryan a nice program to help him adjust back to life in the ring. It also creates sympathy for the character and rallies the fans behind even more. Shane Vs Bryan at SummerSlam might not be the match everybody wants to see, but it makes sense to hold off on some Bryan’s dream matches until we know how he is holding up between the ropes.
Christopher Jeter: This is a tough one. I can’t imagine WWE jobbing out Bryan in his first match back (actually I can, but that would be incredibly stupid to do). I also can’t imagine Owens and Zayn leaving SmackDown. Sure, they could just go back to RAW, but it feels too soon to move them again. Hmmmm. Since this is a Shane McMahon match, I expect a ref bump to occur so he can do his elbow off the announcers table and his Van Terminator with a trash can. I also expect that ref bump to give Zayn and Owens a chance to do something underhanded to pin Shane and get their jobs back. The heels should get their comeuppance, but WWE booked themselves into a corner with this convoluted storyline.
Trace Johnson: The six-month saga between these four will reach its climax at WrestleMania 34. I could honestly see it going either way, but I’ll pick Bryan and Shane O’Mac to get the win and possibly send Owens and Zayn over to Raw in the process.
Joe Soriano: Daniel Bryan picks up the victory for his team, and the crowd is happy. I’m picking the boring option here, because it just feels right.

Will The Undertaker Answer John Cena’s Challenge?
Jack Clayton: Of all the lead-ups to WrestleMania, this has by far been the most frustrating. Every week Cena called out the Undertaker – always to no result. At this point, we don’t know if the match is even happening. But if it were, my guess is that Cena would come out on top. If it is truly time for Undertaker to retire, then here is where it is, at the same place the streak ended. It may not be the best match, but it will be one for the ages.
Bryan Heaton: Can’t a wrestler ever just retire and stay retired? WWE gave the Undertaker – and the WWE Universe – a perfect send-off last year. I don’t want to see another Taker match, but it’s happening. And Cena will win, because Taker is old-school and will want to go out on his back.
Liam Hoofe: If this happens, and it is Taker’s last match, then you would expect him to do the business on the way out. That being said, he lost last year to Reigns and a defeat is not going to do Cena any harm at all. Besides, Taker will probably end up performing for the next 5 years at this rate.

Christopher Jeter: Man, WWE really went out of their way to make fans think that this match wasn’t going to happen. Cena did not come off well throughout this storyline. He’s come across as whiny and unrealistically desperate. Why should Undertaker care if Cena has a match or not at WrestleMania? Also, I’m also supposed to believe that NOBODY on the ENTIRE WWE roster wants to face Cena at WrestleMania? That notwithstanding, the question isn’t if Taker will show up, but which persona will he use when he does? Will he return as the Deadman? Will he return as “The American Bada$$”? I hope he returns as the former if it means that I don’t have to listen to a Kid Rock performance. As for the match (assuming there is one), I expect it to be resemble Rock/Hogan more than Flair/Steamboat. Cena has started to slow with age and Taker doesn’t move the way he once did either. As for the result, I’ll pick Undertaker to score the feel-good pinfall.
Trace Johnson: Will this match actually happen? That’s the question at hand. Assuming that it does happen, either superstar emerging victorious makes sense. But if it’s Taker‘s actual last match, I’ll pick him to go out with a win.
Joe Soriano: I think Taker shows up, this match is happening, and I think Cena loses. Right, yeah, I have no idea what is going on with this one, but I’m here for the ride.

Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey vs. Triple H & Stephanie McMahon
Jack Clayton: Most of my predictions are logical and could without a doubt happen. But for this one, I’m going for a bit more of an unpopular opinion. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are winning. Angle will take the pin, as a result of Rousey turning on her partner. I think that turning Rousey into both a heel and the Authority’s “hitwoman” is absolutely fascinating, and be the best push for her WWE career. It may not be what actually happens, but it would blow the roof down if it did.
Bryan Heaton: Lawrence Taylor is 1-0 at WrestleMania, and he was never coming back. There’s no way Ronda Rousey gets the L in the first match of what WWE hopes is a long career. Rousey and Angle take this one, with Ronda maiming Stephanie with the armbar to write her off TV after Mania (for the second straight year).
Liam Hoofe: Stephanie is getting her annual slice of comeuppance at WrestleMania this year and tapping out to Rousey. The company have invested too much in Rousey not to have her win.
Christopher Jeter: It’s time for Stephanie McMahon’s annual comeuppance, this time at the hands of the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion. I expect Angle and Helmsley to work the majority of the match, with Stephanie hopefully cowering away from Rousey. Then, when the time is right, Rousey works Stephanie over for a couple of minutes and submits her with an armbar. Note to WWE: DO NOT GIVE STEPHANIE AN EXTENDED HEAT SEGMENT ON ROUSEY IF YOU PLAN ON DOING ROUSEY VS. ASUKA ANYTIME SOON!!!!!!!!!!!
Trace Johnson: The anticipated in-ring debut of Rousey will take place on the grandest stage of them all with a star-studded cast of characters. There’s no way Rousey and Angle don’t win this one with Rousey possibly ripping Stephanie’s arm off.
Joe Soriano: I don’t see a swerve happening here. Ronda rips Stephanie’s arm out of her socket.

AJ Styles (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, WWE Championship
Jack Clayton: This is the match I am looking forward to the most at this year’s WrestleMania. With Styles being my favorite overall wrestler, it’s great to see him in a world title match at the event. Is it possible that this will be better than his and Nakamura’s match at Wrestle Kingdom 10? Absolutely. It’s a hard match to call though. My head says it’s Nakamura’s time at the top. But my heart says that Styles should keep the championship.
Bryan Heaton: I think this match will be the greatest WWE Championship match in WrestleMania history, because I will never learn about making wild predictions. They could do a beat for beat recreation of their Wrestle Kingdom 10 match and I’d be okay with it. In the end, Nakamura wins to make some history as the first Japanese-born WWE Champion.
Liam Hoofe: This one really could go either way. It is likely to steal the show on Sunday night, and should be a coming out party for Shinsuke if he wins it all.
Christopher Jeter: If you told me a year ago that these two would co-headline a WrestleMania, I would still be on the floor laughing to this day. But WWE is indeed giving the fans a dream match for the richest prize in the company. I don’t expect these two to mirror what they did at Wrestle Kingdom a couple of years ago. They’re a couple of years older and will be restricted by the WWE style. But I still think this earns the match of the night distinction. I also expect Nakamura to follow through on his promise to win the WWE title with a knee to the face.
Trace Johnson: This has to be the most anticipated match at WrestleMania 34, and for good reason. These two could produce an all-time great match, but Nakamura needs to get the win and finally break through on the main roster to become WWE Champion on the grandest stage.
Joe Soriano: This whole build has been about AJ Styles being “too emotional”, and it makes me wonder if Styles might actually retain. Most people seem to be going with Nakamura, and I am, too, but for one reason only. I think AJ ends up on Raw, and he can’t do that with the title, simply because Roman will hold the Universal Title. And no, they won’t trade places, because I can’t see the red title ending up on the blue show.

Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns, Universal Championship
Jack Clayton: It’s the match that we have known about for almost a year now, and we all know how it’s going to end. Roman Reigns is going to win the Universal Championship. For the first time, it looks like the WWE Universe is behind him winning. The past year has all but shown that Roman is incredibly talented. And if he keeps on the momentum he’s on right now, he will be a great champion. The two will definitely work together to make a great match. While this time last year everyone thought this match would suck, these two have proven us all wrong. Roman will without a doubt be a strong champion.

Liam Hoofe: Roman wins – of course he does. I’m actually really pumped for this one, and thought that the two had excellent chemistry in the ring three years ago. If Lesnar is willing to work hard, and the fans aren’t just going to ruin the whole match by booing, this one could be a match of the night contender.
Christopher Jeter: We are on coronation number three for Reigns. I expect him to take a lot of suplexes. I expect him to kick out of the F-5. I expect him to hit a lot of Superman punches and spears. But everyone knows what’s happening here: Reigns pins Lesnar for the title and sends him packing (presumably), hoisting the title up while confetti and fireworks fires off in the background.
Trace Johnson: This match has been seemingly a foregone conclusion for months, but it should be a great match. This might be the most obvious result of the night, but it will be great to see Reigns finally dethrone Lesnar and become Universal Champion.
Joe Soriano: It’s Roman Reigns. And if it isn’t, we’re all dumber for having witnessed Brock’s title reign.
