WWE Money In The Bank 2018 is only days away and the event is shaping up to be a very memorable one with a lot at stake for both Raw and SmackDown.

At WWE Money In The Bank 2018, two lucky superstars will win the opportunity of a lifetime by capturing the Money in the Bank contract to earn either a WWE/Universal Championship match or a Raw/SmackDown Women’s Championship match at a later date.

There are other several important battles taking place at the show and it begs the question, which superstars need a win the most?  Let’s take a look at the three that need a win the most.  No Money in the Bank ladder match participants will be included because there are many participants that could use a win in those two matches.

3. Carmella

The Princess Of Staten Island made history by winning the first (and second) Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match last year.  It might have taken a while for her to cash in, but since successfully becoming SmackDown Women’s Champion, Carmella’s character has shined bright.

Arguably no superstar currently holding a title has benefited from said title more than Carmella since winning the gold.  She has been one of the best heels in the entire company and seemingly everything about her has improved in that timeframe.  But Carmella’s title reign will meet a huge test at Money In The Bank in The Empress Of Tomorrow.

Asuka had a nearly three-year undefeated streak in the WWE snapped at WrestleMania 34 in a loss to Charlotte Flair, but she will have a chance to get back on track by winning her first title on the main roster when she challenges Carmella for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Money In The Bank.  But while Asuka will be a great champion one day, it shouldn’t come here.

Given how long it took Carmella to cash in and finally become champion, she deserves a pretty long reign.  At least, it needs to be longer than a month or so.  Especially considering how her character is blossoming before our very eyes.  Not to mention, if she loses to Asuka in their first match, it won’t look good and Carmella would be perceived to be not in Asuka’s league.

She doesn’t even have to necessarily win outright, but The Princess Of Staten Island needs to keep her title at Money In The Bank.

2. Nia Jax

It took a little while longer than it should have, but Nia Jax finally reached the level she deserved to reach.  Jax dethroned Alexa Bliss at WrestleMania 34 for the Raw Women’s Championship and moved past the bullying roadblock Bliss presented at the same time.

The Irresistible Force is riding high, but she will encounter the toughest test of her career at Money In The Bank when Rowdy Ronda Rousey challenges Jax for the Raw Women’s Championship in Rousey’s first one-on-one match in the WWE.  After an outstanding debut in mixed tag team action at WrestleMania 34, Rousey’s stock was high.

More from Money in the Bank

In fact, it was high enough for Jax to issue a challenge to Rousey at Money In The Bank.  The two will square off in what the WWE is dubbing as the biggest Raw Women’s Championship match in history, but as great as Rousey has been so far in the WWE, she doesn’t need to dethrone Jax in this match.

Jax needs to keep her title at Money In The Bank for the simple fact that a loss could undermine the entire Raw women’s division.  How would it look if someone who has never wrestled a one-on-one match in the WWE comes in and immediately dethrones the dominant force in the women’s division?  Much like Asuka, Rousey will undoubtedly be a champion one day, but it needs to be put on hold.

The Raw Women’s Championship needs to stay in the possession of The Irresistible Force at Money In The Bank.

1. Shinsuke Nakamura

For the fifth time since early-April, Shinsuke Nakamura will face off with AJ Styles and for the fourth time in that timeframe, it will be for the WWE Championship.  This feud has taken many unexpected turns, but the same result has stayed intact every time when the gold was on the line.

In three attempts to capture the WWE Championship, Nakamura has failed to capture the title.  While most of those failures were screwy finishes that weren’t legitimate losses, this seems like the turning point of the feud one way or another when the two bitter enemies compete in a Last Man Standing match.

The King Of Strong Style has been flourishing as a heel since WrestleMania 34, but it’s time to fully capitalize on that momentum.  Nakamura has only lost straight up to The Phenomenal One once and even defeated him on an episode of SmackDown in recent weeks, but if he doesn’t capture the WWE Championship, it will all be for nothing.

There can’t be any more screwy finishes here, Nakamura must win the WWE Championship at Money In The Bank.  If he fails to win it again, even if the finish is non-traditional, fans will stop caring about this feud.  It’s the only logical step remaining in a feud that has had its ups and downs and if Nakamura doesn’t win the gold here, he might never win the big one.

The time has come for a changing of the guard and The King Of Strong Style needs to be the last man standing at Money In The Bank.
