The biggest storylines in the WWE will play out before our very eyes at WWE Money In The Bank 2018 this Sunday in what promises to be a memorable show.
WWE Money In The Bank 2018 is shaping up to be a defining show for both Raw and SmackDown as two superstars will earn the opportunity of a lifetime, a guaranteed world title opportunity at any given time for up to one year.
There will be a Mr. as well as a Ms. Money in the Bank following Sunday, but there are several other important matches on the card as well. Here are the three biggest storylines heading into WWE Money In The Bank 2018.
3. Ronda Rousey Grounding Nia Jax
The WWE has already dubbed it the biggest Raw Women’s Championship match in history, but will Nia Jax vs. Ronda Rousey live up to that hype? It has the potential for sure in a match between arguably the two most powerful and dominant women on the WWE roster.
After moving past the Alexa Bliss roadblock, Jax challenged Rousey to a match and at Money In The Bank, The Irresistible Force will defend her title against The Rowdy One. Over the past few weeks, the two have not seen eye to eye and have been trying to gain the advantage heading into this Sunday.
Jax has been impressive over the past few months, but Rousey has gained the upper hand after her actions this past Monday on Raw. In a face-to-face, tensions grew and the drive for superiority took over between the two and after Jax temporarily caught Rousey by surprise, The Rowdy One countered with her devastating armbar.
It looked like Jax was going to break the hold, but Rousey kept it applied to the point where the Raw Women’s Champion tapped out. It was a huge symbolic and psychological development heading into Money In The Bank and could serve as foreshadowing one way or another. Maybe Rousey keeps that momentum up and wins the title, or maybe Jax learns from it and manages to hold firm next time.
Whichever way it goes, Rousey’s recent momentum should directly affect one of the biggest women’s matches in the WWE in some time.

2. The Mind Games Of Shinsuke Nakamura
The WWE universe has been seeing a side of Shinsuke Nakamura lately that it hasn’t had the opportunity to see yet during his time in the company. A WrestleMania 34 loss to AJ Styles has brought out a heel version of the charismatic and quirky Nakamura that has even been a bit psychotic at times.
For the fourth time since early-April, Styles and Nakamura will compete for the WWE Championship this Sunday at Money In The Bank. But unlike the previous matches, this match will be under Last Man Standing rules. Those rules have consumed The King Of Strong Style as of late as he has been obsessed with laying out superstars while counting to 10.
Nakamura has been in the mind of Styles a lot over the past couple months, but it has been taken to another level in recent weeks. Each week on SmackDown, The Phenomenal One seemingly gets more frustrated with Nakamura and if that continues at Money In The Bank, that might be all it takes for Nakamura to finally get his hands on the WWE Championship.
Styles’ over-aggressiveness could come back to haunt him given how much he wants to get his hands on Nakamura. It has been a long time coming, but it seems like it could finally be time for Nakamura to win the WWE Championship. It might even be now or never because another failed opportunity to capture the gold could set him back for a while.
The King Of Strong Style has to capitalize at Money In The Bank and his mind games could be the key to doing just that.

1. Is There Any Stopping Braun Strowman?
No superstar in the WWE today is as dominant and destructive as The Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman. This man has taken the WWE by storm over the past year and his stock has arguably never been higher than it is heading into Money In The Bank.
Strowman seems to be the odds-on favorite to win the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match and with how dominant and indestructible he has looked lately, there’s no wonder why. He has been invincible and every time he has been in trouble, he has somehow figured out a way to power through it and remain the dominant force in the ring.
That was especially apparent on the most recent edition of Raw when a frog splash from Kevin Owens from the top of a ladder through the announce table couldn’t even keep The Monster Among Men down. He fought back and eventually went on to win the Fatal 4-Way against Owens, Finn Balor, and Bobby Roode to gain even more momentum heading into Money In The Bank.
Is Strowman’s momentum make him a foregone conclusion to win the ladder match? Who knows, but it could also lead to what ultimately turns out to be his downfall. If enough other participants in the match gang up to take out Strowman, his hopes of winning the match probably go out the window. That seems like the only way he doesn’t win the match at this point.

The Monster Among Men could become the Monster in the Bank on Sunday, but his dominant ways could end up putting an insurmountable target on his back.
