2. Daniel Bryan vs Shinsuke Nakamura, WWE Championship
Now we all know what happened at WrestleMania 34 between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura, and truthfully it did not live up to the expectations we had for it. However, this match has everything you need: The true underdog baby-face, the WWE Champion Daniel Bryan, who is looking to overcome the vicious side of the heel in Shinsuke Nakamura, and with the title on the line.
I don’t remember the last time Daniel Bryan put on a bad match, and he is truthfully one of the best wrestlers in the world today, and as mentioned earlier, the biggest face in professional wrestling at the moment.
With Shinsuke Nakamura, yes he’s had a bad history with the WWE Championship, but this heel turn has gave him a new lease of light. As long as he doesn’t spoil the match due to a low blow, that is…
Shinsuke Nakamura wants to beat a true champion, and after a short stint with the United States Championship, he’ll want to move on, he finally wants that WWE Championship. It would be interesting to see how this would play off on TV.
If this match had some sort of No Disqualification stipulation, then this would be one of, if not THE best match on the WrestleMania card.
As much as I like Shinsuke Nakamura, if they crowned Roman Reigns as Universal champion like I mentioned earlier, then logically the face would have to win here, so I’d go with Daniel Bryan for this.
