SmackDown Tag Team Championships: Out with the Old

Even if every single one of their matches are wildly entertaining (which they are), it seems like the New Day and the Usos have been feuding for centuries. The two teams have dominated the SmackDown Live tag team picture ever since the division started two years ago, and while it’s nice to have a core feud to build a division around, it’s time for it to be over.

Enter the Bludgeon Brothers, the current tag champions, and somehow something about them already feels old. Rowan and Harper, no matter how many times you repackage them, are still Erick Rowan and Luke Harper. Though wildly talented, they can only do so much before you get tired of seeing them together.

Thankfully, the fix for this belt could be coming right up, as Team Hell No and SAnitY have burst onto the scene. Hopefully, The Bar will be back soon as well, considering they’ve become one of the company’s best tag teams. These three are ready to breathe new life into the belts, and could provide brand new and exciting feuds for the New Day, Usos, and Bludgeon Brothers.

Combine that with possible NXT callups following SummerSlam and within the next feud months, the SmackDown Live tag division could be in a boom period of great matches.
