WWE SummerSlam 2018: 3 Possible Opponents for Seth Rollins

2: Drew McIntyre

When Drew McIntyre first reappeared on our screens as Dolph Ziggler’s bodyguard, many fans were apprehensive.

Thankfully, McIntyre is such a competent performer that he has managed to make it work and he has already begun to outshine Ziggler, despite Ziggler capturing the Intercontinental Title.

He has shown in recent weeks that he is every bit the performer he was in NXT, putting on two excellent efforts- first, against Seth Rollins on the Raw before Extreme Rules and then once again in a triple threat match with Finn Balor and Roman Reigns on the post-PPV edition of Raw.

It is only a matter of time before McIntyre shakes off Ziggler and goes his own way and one way for him to really establish himself as a top guy would be to give him a big match with Rollins at SummerSlam.

Rollins has had the Midas touch so far in 2018 and given time on a big PPV, he and McIntyre could potentially steal the show.

Of course, it is more likely that McIntyre and Ziggler break up before SummerSlam and then have a match for the Intercontinental title at the event, but if the company didn’t want to rush things, a match between Rollins and McIntyre could be the best way forward.
