9. Winning the 2003 Royal Rumble

Other than winning a world championship, a victory in the Royal Rumble match is one of the most cherished accomplishments by professional wrestlers. Brock Lesnar was lucky enough to achieve this milestone in the 2003 match. Brock actually had to pull double duty during the evening as he was forced to face off against Big Show earlier in the show in order to gain entry to the Rumble match. This was the culmination of his long-standing rivalry with Big Show and Paul Heyman and Brock would come out on top, thus earning a spot in the 30-man battle royal.

Now operating as a red-hot babyface, Brock was one of the favourites to win the Rumble match and when he entered at number 29, it became clear that he would be in the mix. He first eliminated Matt Hardy and then the two member’s of The World’s Greatest Tag Team, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin. Finally, the Beast would eliminate his old rival, The Undertaker, to win the Royal Rumble for the first time and earn the opportunity to main event WrestleMania XIX.

It would be here, at the marquee show, that Lesnar would create his next history-making moment, albeit nearly for all the wrong reasons.
