WWE: Becky Lynch Defeats Carmella To Get Her Shot

After Ellsworth’s firing, Becky Lynch had a clear opening to defeating Carmella without any interference, and a win would allow her to obtain a title opportunity for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at SummerSlam.

Since Becky is on absolute fire, she absolutely capitalized on this, tapping out Carmella to the Dis-Arm-Her after being the superior wrestler. This was a very good match, and it was heart-warming to see Becky finally get her second chance at the title. It’s been more than a year since her last title match, which is crazy considering she was the first SmackDown Women’s Champion and the first woman drafted to the brand in 2016.

WWE: The Miz Uses A Fake Baby

SmackDown Live started with a promo from Randy Orton, in which he hated on absolutely everybody, but the first moments were The Miz, Maryse, and Monroe Sky emerging from a limo. Well, at least, we thought the baby we were cheering was Monroe Sky. It turns out, it was a doll.

See, it was all a part of Miz’s master plan. He came out in the main event of SmackDown Live to hype up his new TV show, Miz and Mrs. (which, by the way, was sensational). Miz lured Daniel Bryan out, and when Bryan came into the ring to attack Miz, he threw “Monroe Sky” at him.

He actually threw a doll at Bryan, which totally fooled him (and me, though I can only speak for myself here…) and allowed Miz to nail Bryan with a Skull Crushing Finale.
