WWE: Brock Lesnar’s Wild Appearance on Raw

It almost goes without saying that Brock Lesnar appearing on Raw is about as rare as a civil discussion about his SummerSlam opponent, Roman Reigns.

That said, when Lesnar does show up to Raw, it feels special. The memes were strong with this appearance, as Lesnar was backstage reading some “Backwoodsman” magazine as he tried his best to ignore Paul Heyman. Lesnar would turn on Heyman that night, inciting cheers for Reigns from the Miami crowd.

You know, that was great and all, but the best part of Lesnar’s appearance was this line spoken to Heyman backstage. “I don’t watch the show, Paul. Why would I watch the show?”

WWE is so self-aware that it’s quite frightening.

This isn’t something focused on WWE’s in-ring product, but this is honestly my favorite reality TV show of all-time. I’m dead serious. And yes, I know that we’re only two episodes into the show, but the fact that it’s already raking in more than a million viewers is a testament to its success.

What I love the most is that it feels as authentic as reality TV could possibly feel. The Miz and Maryse are unsurprisingly tremendous and very much seem like themselves. They are charismatic, cool, and interesting people who are just having fun on screen with their friends and family. The Miz’s dad and Maryse’s mom are show-stealers, and the cameo appearances from the likes of Dolph Ziggler and Rosa Mendes are worth popping for.

So if you haven’t already, give this show a shot!
