Rezar (w/ Akam) vs. Titus O’Neil (w/ Apollo Crews & Dana Brooke)

Result: Rezar defeated Titus O’Neil via pinfall

Rating: 1.5 out of 5 stars

While Rezar was in the ring awaiting his opponent, Seth Rollins got a visit from Tyler Breeze, looking to be the Kingslayer’s partner.

But Breeze’s former FCW partner Roman Reigns popped in, and — I’m being told — Reigns and Rollins were once tag team champions together? So Roman volunteers to be Seth’s partner later on. Poor Breezy.

Now, onto the match at hand. Boy, am I tired of being right all the time. Last week, Apollo Crews faced Akam, and I wrote the following:

"Ah, the ol’ “let’s build to a tag team match by having a bunch of singles matches first!” plan of attack. Already looking forward to next week, when Titus gets smoked by Rezar."

And what happened? Rezar had a singles match against Titus O’Neil, and the Author of Pain dominated much of the match. Titus got a bit of offense in, looking amazingly smooth for a guy who couldn’t enter the Greatest Royal Rumble without falling flat on his face.

But in the end, it was Rezar who hit a vicious spinebuster to put Titus away. And now, the two tag teams have gone 1-1 in singles matches, which means it’s time for an actual tag team match to happen. Just like it always does.
