Braun Strowman vs. Jinder Mahal (w/ Sunil Singh & Kevin Owens)

Result: Jinder Mahal defeated Braun Strowman via disqualification

Rating: DUD

For the second straight week, Braun Strowman lost to former world champion Jinder Mahal with next to nothing happening in the match. It’s beautiful to see that even Braun Strowman isn’t immune to garbage booking after winning the Money in the Bank briefcase. But this is beyond absurd.

The GIF in the above tweet literally contains every bit of offense in this match. Seiously. Now, I want everyone to think about this for a minute: Does anyone come out of this segment looking better than they did coming into it?

Take Jinder Mahal. The former WWE Champion has two consecutive wins over Braun Strowman, but he seems like a negative threat to anyone on the WWE Raw roster. His deep breathing techniques are the stuff of ridicule. And no one takes him seriously.

How about Kevin Owens? He has a talk show where he goes ballistic, only to get upstaged — literally. He’s too incompetent to even steal the briefcase, which he was successful at last week.

Braun himself? Aside from getting typical MITB winner booking, he looks like a mess right now. He’s so hung up on the briefcase that he’s forgotten his actual job is to be a murderous professional wrestler. Compare Braun today to the Braun of one year ago — the one who buried Brock Lesnar under the announce table at SummerSlam. Which one seems like a bigger threat?

This feud is doing nothing but demolishing any forward momentum that Mahal, Owens, or Strowman had. Once SummerSlam is over, all three need to go their separate ways, and never associate with the others again.
