Seth Rollins Still Has No Friends

At this point, there’s no reason to give away how Seth Rollins evens the odds against Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. Last week, he was granted a tag team match, and his preferred partner Roman Reigns was banned from participating in the match. Rather than go find Tyler Breeze, who openly campaigned for a chance to help out, Rollins went into the match alone, and got his rear end handed to him.

The story has been for weeks that Rollins needs to find some backup if he’s got a chance in hell of regaining the Intercontinental Championship. Ziggler has held on to the title for all this time by virtue of McIntyre’s persistent presence at ringside (and backstage, and during interviews, and everywhere).

With only one show left before Rollins gets yet another rematch for the title, names have been thrown out left and right for who may be Rollins’s backup. Dean Ambrose and Jason Jordan are both supposedly due back from injury soon, or maybe Rollins will find someone new.

Either way, by waiting this long, it’s ridiculous to not wait another six days to bring out the assistance at SummerSlam. Let Rollins get a beatdown while being short-handed one more time early on Raw. Then later in the night, he can mention having a “plan B” for SummerSlam, and the reveal can happen at the pay per view.
