WWE Raw Predictions: Nowhere to Run from Ronda Rousey

Constable Corbin Gets Power Hungry
One of the recurring themes since the main event for SummerSlam was finalized is the power grab by Baron Corbin. The Constable of WWE Raw has been relentless in flaunting his authority, even more so than in the early days of his tenure. From gloating at the prospect of kicking Roman Reigns out of the building, to taking glee in overruling Kurt angle, Corbin has been on a power high lately.

With Brock Lesnar’s status for any episode of Raw up in the air, Corbin is almost the top heel on the program by virtue of his rivalry with Reigns. And since there’s a huge Universal Championship match six days away, now would be a perfect time for Corbin to kick things up a notch in his quest to stick it to Reigns.
We’ve seen Corbin act on Stephanie McMahon’s orders to eject Reigns from the building, or prevent him from wrestling a second time in one night. What’s to stop him from claiming he’s following orders, but going rogue and acting on his own?
Maybe Reigns wants to step up for Seth Rollins again, and Corbin tells Angle that he got a phone call from Stephanie again. Angle delivers the news, whether Reigns is being tossed again, or whatever the deal may be, but later in the night Stephanie calls Angle herself and throws Corbin under the bus? It’s all been a ploy by Corbin to hurt the Big Dog.
After SummerSlam, when Reigns finally wins the Universal Title, Corbin is primed to be his first challenger. It would be a great way to set up for what comes next.
What do you think might happen on this week’s episode of WWE Raw?
