Ricky Roberts vs. Bobby Lashley

Result: Bobby Lashley defeated Ricky Roberts via knockout

Rating: DUD

Oh, man, the wink wink nudge nudge in this segment was so bad, I can’t believe no one pulled a muscle. That Ricky Roberts sure does express himself mighty fine about rock & roll, doesn’t he?

Yes, featured NXT local talent John Skylar gets the nod here in Greensboro to play Elias’s biggest fan, “Ricky Roberts,” which is the most obvious homage to the Rock & Roll Express possible. Roberts is interrupted by Elias, who intends to perform, but once again doesn’t get the opportunity.

Elias spent much of his mic time bribing Roberts, telling him he could be a star if he could beat and humiliate Bobby Lashley. And once again, Bobby Lashley enters and kills any momentum the segment had. How can a man that big and that talented be such a charismatic void?

Lashley agrees to the match, and is immediately the victim of a guitar shot to the back by Roberts. Only problem is, if you can’t play the guitar, it has no power when it breaks over your back. So Lashley is unfazed, the counters with a ridiculous spinebuster that looked like it literally busted a spine, and — wait, was this actually a match? There was a referee, but no bells.

Whatever, the sooner Elias and Lashely have their one on one match, the better. This whole feud has been incredibly one-sided.

Dallas Math > Steiner Math

No, Bo, you and Curtis have a 141 2/3 percent chance of winning. Didn’t you study Steinernomics?
