Raw Tag Team Championship Triple Threat Match

The B-Team (Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel) (c) vs. The Revival (Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder) vs. Deleters of Worlds (Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt)

Result: The B-Team defeated The Revival and Deleters of Worlds via pinfall

Rating: 3.0 out of 5 stars

After their backstage segment, I don’t know how anyone could not root for Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel. They’re adorable, part of wrestling families, and bust their butts to entertain. Sure, they’re not always “good” at what they’re trying to do, but they really try.

In the beginning, the match was basically a straight tag match between The Revival and the Deleters of Worlds. It worked for the best, because of the three teams in the match, the greatest tag team experience lies with those two squads. It was basically a tag clinic, too, with the perfect blend of tandem offense and high impact moves. (The Hart Attack by The Revival was a nice touch, too.)

Dash and Dawson, especially, should have turned some heads in this match. Maybe I’m biased because I’ve been a fan of their work since they were still called “The Mechanics.” Or maybe it’s because I have a tendency to be an NXT snob. But if you were on the fence about The Revival, this match should have pushed you towards the positive side of the equation.

And Wyatt looked like a monster in this one, right up until he took the pinfall. Baby steps, I guess. Hardy, a North Carolina native (like both Dash and Dawson), had the highlight of the match with a superplex to Dawson to the outside of the ring.

In the end, Axel made the wisest move of his career when he made a blind tag and waited for The Revival to hit Wyatt with a Shatter Machine before sniping the pin. An unexpectedly good match all around, and a definitive ending should mean something new for the champions after SummerSlam.
