United States Championship Match
Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. Jeff Hardy
Bryan Heaton: I like Jeff Hardy. I do not think Jeff Hardy should be in this match. With his main rival being Randy Orton, why not at very least make this a triple threat match? Instead, Nakamura is entering the match as champion, and he’s the third most important person in a two-man match. He’ll win and retain, and Randy Orton will do something that makes everyone groan.
Christopher Jeter: Nakamura needs the U.S. Title WAY more than Hardy does at this point, so I’ll pick him to retain his title and move on to feud with a babyface Rusev over the gold.
Trace Johnson: This is a match that doesn’t feel like it fits on the card given the Randy Orton dynamic, but because of that very reason, I think Nakamura will retain the U.S. Championship here.
Ashley Leckwold: With Randy Orton being a weird pervert lately, Shinsuke honestly feels like he’s been playing second fiddle with his own title lately. But ever the chaos god, I feel like Shinsuke is gonna use that to his advantage to retain on Sunday. God works hard, but Shinsuke Nakamura works harder.
Joe Soriano: We’ve seen Shinsuke Nakamura and Jeff Hardy face a few times, with Randy Orton costing Hardy in the most uncomfortable fashion in their rematch on SmackDown Live. Nakamura is most likely retaining the title, but will Orton play into the finish again?
