Sasha Banks & Bayley vs. The IIconics vs. Candice LeRae & Lacey Evans vs. Jinny & Xia Brookside

Fans will understandably lament over the lack of a singles match between Banks & Bayley or a dream match for either, but with so many singles matches already planned, it just wouldn’t get the time it deserves. Instead, the Boss’N’Hug Connection will represent Monday Night Raw in a Four Corners All-Star Tag Team match. The IIconics have lost a bit of steam since costing Charlotte Flair the SD Women’s Championship back in April, but an entertaining display in this 4-way can get them right back on track.

Out of NXT, Candice LeRae & Lacey Evans aren’t a team by any stretch, but each has been rising the ranks at Full Sail. Their strange bedfellows dynamic could add a wrinkle and change of pace to an already stacked match. Lastly, from NXT UK, Jinny and Xia Brookside. The former is more than likely to be a big player down the road. Brookside, however, rounds out this match as a second-generation wrestler. Besides her dad, Robbie is a trainer at the Performance Center so it’d be a fun moment for all parties involved.

So while this match might not have the build of a Sasha-Bayley, it does have all the pieces for a beyond hot opener.

Nia Jax vs. Beth Phoenix

Having been teased at the Royal Rumble, this feels like an inevitability. The Unstoppable Force’s run as Raw Women’s Champion feels like a lifetime ago. We’ve not seen her since Money In The Bank, and it’s unclear if she’s actually injured or just keeping of TV, so she’s not overexposed. Either way, hopefully, she’s ready for action when WWE Evolution rolls around.

The Glamazon makes for an ideal opponent for Jax at Evolution, as it pits two of the most dominant ladies in the company’s history against one another. It’s a no-brainer, really, what with Beth already having been announced for the show. The match sells itself as a one-off, first time, hoss fight. Win or lose this will serve as an effective way to bring Nia back into the fold on Raw.

Brie Bella vs. Maryse

With a mixed-tag-team match looming for these ladies and their respective husbands at Hell In A Cell, we might as well give Brie and Maryse the opportunity to go womano-e-womano at WWE Evolution. Besides, who knows how many more times newly-moms will lace up their boots. While neither has been extraordinarily active in the last few years, both reality stars held down the diva’s division long before they ever really got a chance, so this match is well-deserved. It’d also make for a scintillating arc on both Total Bellas and Miz and Mrs.

Kairi Sane (c) vs. Shayna Baszler

The Pirate Princess may be up in the series against the former MMA fighter’s, but it doesn’t necessarily mean things are finished here. WWE Evolution’s bout would be a must win for Baszler. She could very easily tie things up if there’s not a main roster spot in her future. Although, with all these new heel challengers gaining momentum, it seems unlikely she’d regain her championship. A rematch on this show still makes sense, as these two stars are both very much the future of WWE, and were part of history as finalists in last year’s tournament. Again, this would enable the Queen of Spades to get called up and tango with or against her old pal, Ronda.
