2. DX vs. The Brothers Of Destruction Is Huge Even In 2018
The biggest takeaway from the Super Show-Down event this past weekend was the “Last Time Ever” battle between Triple H and The Undertaker. While it will probably be the final time those two legends will ever face one-on-one, it won’t be the final time they will be in the same ring together in a match.
After The Game finally got over the hump and defeated The Deadman, there was a great show of respect between Triple H, his friend Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, and his brother Kane. However, The Brothers Of Destruction wanted the last laugh when they attacked The Game and HBK. Last night’s show opened up with Michaels and Triple H in a serious state to address the actions of Taker and Kane.
They talked a lot about respect and how they ultimately don’t have respect for The Brothers Of Destruction anymore. Triple H upped the ante even farther when he asked Michaels one iconic phrase, “Are You Ready?” At that point, you knew where things were going, and that led to the challenge of all challenges.
The Game and HBK called out The Brothers Of Destruction for a tag team match at Crown Jewel next month and at least for the time being, DX is back in the saddle again with new shirts and entrance music to top it all off. It will be DX vs. The Brothers Of Destruction at Crown Jewel and even in 2018 where the youngest man involved in the match is 49 years old, this is still a super-intriguing match, especially given Michaels hasn’t wrestled since 2010.
This will be huge to see and could be the final chance to see these four legends in the same ring again.
