WWE Raw Preview and Predictions: Same Old Song and Dance

Dolph Ziggler Qualifies for World Cup Because Dean Ambrose Needs to Get More Sullen
In the other qualifying match for the World Cup on WWE Raw tonight, McIntyre’s tag team partner Dolph Ziggler faces Rollins’s tag team partner Dean Ambrose. Don’t forget, Raw has like 35 non-injured male superstars on the roster, but only one actual feud at the moment. Stay tuned at Survivor Series, when The Shield team up with Kurt Angle and Finn Bálor to face Strowman, Ziggler, McIntyre, Baron Corbin, and, I don’t know, Bobby Lashley?
Because of this seeming inability to write more than one storyline concurrently, like SmackDown Live is perfectly capable of, Raw is stuck building everything around The Shield and Strowman, Ziggler, and McIntyre. If Drew is likely coming out on top to provide the international intrigue to the World Cup, wouldn’t it seem logical for Ambrose to win to keep the wonders of 50/50 booking alive?
You would think, but no — it’s not in the cards. Remember, Deano is all forlorn and out of sorts lately, as evidenced by his lack of emotion in any aspect of WWE lately. Look at how despondent he was after last week’s main event — he’s not in a good state of mind right now.
So to keep this one story going, I figure Dean loses, and it’s a clean sweep for the Raw Tag Team Champions. Everyone can wonder whether or not McIntyre and Ziggler will face each other in the tournament, while Ambrose and Rollins can keep the Shield alive and take on The Brainbusters or something at Crown Jewel’s unofficial legends show.
