WWE Raw Preview and Predictions: Same Old Song and Dance

Lashley Moves On to a New Feud
Last week, we got a quasi-double turn from Bobby Lashley and Kevin Owens. The Chicago crowd was firmly pro-KO and anti-Lashley (and Lio Rush, who was pure gold on the mic mid-match), and after the match Lashley beat Owens into the injured reserve. So a new, more aggressive Lashley is in need of a new rival, since Owens and his best buddy Sami Zayn are both on the shelf for some time.

So who could Lashley be putting in his sights? If he’s truly a heel now, this new Bob should be targeting a beloved babyface. There aren’t a whole lot of them on the roster right now, but the best bet with everything set up the way it is would be Finn Bálor.
Right now, Finn has been trapped in a “we have nothing for you except the Mixed Match Challenge” loop where he and Bayley have been joined at the hip. With Sasha Banks rumored to be coming back soon, Bayley may be ready to leave Finn by the wayside, leaving him free to face someone other than Jinder Mahal for once. Lashley would be a good fit.
On the other hand, maybe someone who hasn’t been on television lately could step up to get on Lashley’s radar. Perhaps someone with a hypnotic entrance theme, who can command an entire room with just a look or a gesture. Someone who always has a bunch of followers no matter what.
Obviously, I’m talking about No Way Jose.
Kidding! Bray Wyatt hasn’t done much of anything since Matt Hardy was forced to retire due to long term wear and tear, so maybe he could be a possible feud for Lashley.
There’s also always the chance that Bob somehow integrates himself into the Universal Title scene with Roman Reigns, after their summer feud. It would be a good way to potentially fade Brock Lesnar out of the picture if Crown Jewel ends up off the schedule, and Brock won’t take less of a payday to do Survivor Series/can’t make Survivor Series due to his UFC training (take your pick on the actual reason).
