4. Nostalgia Is Working Out Perfectly For DX vs. The Brothers Of Destruction Feud

It feels like the late-1990’s or mid-2000’s again with the recent development between four of the greatest superstars in WWE history.  Triple H and The Undertaker battled for the last time ever at Super Show-Down, but the involvement of Shawn Michaels and Kane has carried over and led to a major tag team match.

At Crown Jewel, it will be DX vs. The Brothers Of Destruction for the first time ever and even in 2018, this match feels like a big deal.  Seeing Michaels back in the ring again for the first time since WrestleMania 26 will be big enough in its own right.  Last night saw DX in its old form when The Game and HBK came out to the ring to address Taker and Kane’s remarks from last week.

It felt like old times seeing and hearing DX’s entrance with glow sticks in hand.  Triple H said there’s been a lot of big words thrown out lately by The Brothers Of Destruction before eventually poking fun at Kane’s mayoral status.  It was a more serious side of DX, but it still felt like vintage DX.  Just when it looked like things were finished, The Brothers Of Destruction had another message to give.

The Undertaker and Kane were shown at a cemetery where they had tombstones for both Michaels and Triple H.  The dirt was slowly being added to the graves symbolically, just like vintage Taker would do.  This was another great segment and it worked perfectly as a time lapse between two of the greatest duos in WWE history.

Nostalgia is alive and well in 2018 and the nostalgia between DX and The Brothers Of Destruction is a breath of fresh air.
